How It Works

You're here because you know you need a website. But where do you start? 

A custom website is a big investment, and most templates are too...generic. That's where we come in. 

📝 Determine your #1 goal.

You already know you need a website - that's why you're here. Now, you need to determine why you need it.  Do you need an e-commerce site so you can sell books directly to your readers? Do you need a service-based site to schedule consultations with potential clients and share your writing or editing work? Do you need to upgrade your book review blog? This will help you narrow down your focus when selecting a template.

💻 Choose a template.

After deciding what you need from your website, it's time for the fun part - choosing a template! Our collection of bookish templates is created with you in mind so you can select what will work best for you. Don't forget that everything is customizable - so don't get hung up on the colors, images, fonts, etc.

🎨 Personalize your website.

Now that you have purchased a template, it's time to personalize it! From uploading your own logo and photos to adding in your relevant information, everything can be customized to your exact preferences. You can even add or remove pages. I am also available to provide assistance in getting your website updated so you can virtually skip this step and get back to writing! Learn more here.

PS - You don't have to wait until your website is updated to go live. Each of our templates comes with a "Coming Soon" splash page so that you can create some buzz around the launch of your new site and even collect email addresses to notify new subscribers when you go live.

Once you have everything in place, it's time to launch your website (or announce it if you already went live with one of our splash pages)! Spread the word to your email list, social media followers and more.

  • Why do you design on Wix?
    Wix is one of the most affordable, easy-to-use website templates available today. With the launch of Wix Studio, our website templates are faster than ever, responsive so they will look good on every device, and have smooth animations. Choosing a website platform often comes down to personal preference, however, these are some of the reasons I choose to design on Wix. Every Wix template/site has: - Built-in enterprise-grade security - Reliable infrastructure, which means faster site loads - Native solutions for payment, email marketing, social media marketing, content management and SEO tools - Lead capture forms - Free domain for one year - 24/7 customer support - And more
  • Do I need to buy anything other than the template?
    You will need to upgrade your Wix account to a premium version in order to connect your domain.
  • Can I use the images in the template design?
    Yes, you can use all images, videos and icons in the template design. Everything is free to use through Wix Media or Unsplash. However, I do recommend using your own photos.
  • Can I remove or add pages after purchasing?
    Yes, you will be able to add or remove pages to the template after purchasing. If you plan on making major design changes, I can customize the template to your preferences and set it up for you. Learn more here.
  • Do I need to know how to code?
    No, you do not need to know how to code. These templates are built so that you can update quickly and easily.
  • How long will it take me to update?
    This depends on whether or not you have all your images and copy in place, if you already have brand guidelines, and how much you need or want to update.
  • Why do you sell your templates on Etsy?
    I utilize Etsy as an additional marketing channel to reach more authors, writers, etc. I also save some money to sell on their platform (despite the transactional and listing fees) versus setting up payments on my own website. I simply enjoy designing websites and wanted to create my own. I hope to add a shopping feature to my site in the future!
  • Do you offer payment plans?
    No, I do not currently offer payment plans.
  • What if I need support after purchasing my template?
    If you have questions about the template, I encourage you to contact me before purchasing. If you have technical issues during set-up, feel free to contact me, however please be aware that Wix Support is often the best solution and I may direct you to contact their team for further assistance.
  • Can I transfer my current website to Wix?
    Unfortunately, importing a site created outside of Wix is not currently supported. However, if you have a Wordpress blog, you can import posts to your new Wix site. Learn more here.
  • What is your return policy?
    Due to the digital nature of the templates, we do not offer refunds. Please read all descriptions carefully before making a purchase and reach out if you have any questions.
